Abstract
Inflation is an important issue which hampers the economic growth of the country. Fluctuations in prices create an atmosphere of uncertainty which is not conducive to development activity. As it directly impacts the standard of living of the people, so it is the responsibility for Government, politicians, and economists to study the underlying causes, its impacts and measures to control inflation.This report explains about the inflation in general, factors which helps to determine inflation, how it can be measured and its impact on common household consumption and our imperatives to contain it.
