This year, IIM-A (Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad) will conduct CAT 2015. TCS will be the testing agency for CAT 2015 in partnership with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A). This test will be conducted during the months of October/November 2015.
CAT 2015 Eligibility Criteria –
Candidates applying for CAT 2015 should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent. Final year students can also apply.
Last year approximately, 1.70 lakh students appeared for CAT 2014 out of 1, 95,814 applications. However, CAT 2014 conducted by IIM- Indore witnessed major changes such as the examination duration was increased to 170 minutes from 140 minutes.
Also, the purchase of offline vouchers was discontinued, the questions in data interpretation, logical reasoning, verbal ability and quantitative ability was increased to 50 in each section from existing 30 questions. For CAT 2015, major changes and innovations are expected. According to the Financial Times (FT) Global MBA Ranking 2015, IIM-Ahmedabad is the Indian B-Schools to feature among the top 100 institutes worldwide. Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is on 26th position however, last year IIM-A was on number 30.
